TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Introduction
1.1 Please read and review our Terms and on the Order Confirmation check if they are complete and accurate before you commit yourself to the contract. If you think that there is a mistake, please make sure that you ask us to confirm any changes in writing, as our official way of corresponding is in written form.
1.2 We would be thankful if you would reply to this e-mail, stating that you have read and accepted our Terms and Conditions and that your booking details are correct. If you do not reply to this e-mail, we will consider that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions and that all details as listed, are correct.
2. Bookings and Confirmation
2.1 At the time of the booking you have to provide us with detailed information about the state of the garden and its size. Green Swift Gardeners reserves the right to amend the quote and charge for any extra work that needs to be carried out.
2.2 If you provide us with inaccurate, incomplete or incorrect information or instructions, we reserve the right to cancel the Order, or we may amend the price according to the extra work that is required.
2.3 Once a job has been confirmed, we will send you booking confirmation to your e-mail with details about the date, time and place where the performance of the service will take place. However, please have in mind that the time of arrival of our gardeners is only an estimate, as we do not have control over given circumstances, including but not limited to bad weather, traffic, or force majeure events. We always do our best to be on time, however, if we are running late, we will complete the Services as soon as reasonably possible. We will not accept responsibility for any customer losses due to unforeseen or unavoidable delays.
2.4 Please note that it is your responsibility to arrange the parking. Any parking fees or fines, accrued during the time of the service provided, are covered by the customer.
2.5 Client has to provide access to his/her property either by ensuring someone to be at the property on the day of the gardening service or by arranging keys to be collected at least one day before the service. Please note, that we recommend your presence at the property especially at the end of the service.
2.6 Additional charges might be added on top of the price, please see below:
– Congestion charge of £11.50, if the job takes place during weekdays
– An additional charge (based on distance) if your property is outside of M25. Our prices are subject to our terms and conditions.
2.7 If our teams have to travel a distance further than 2 miles to pick up or drop off the keys of the property to be serviced, an additional charge may be added.
3. Pricing and Payment:
3.1 We based our prices on information and pictures provided by you, that is why we reserve the right to amend the Quote/Booking Confirmation should we feel it is necessary.
3.2 The services provided by Green Swift Gardeners are payable in cash to our operatives or subcontractors on-site at the end of the service.
3.3 Prices are based on a minimum charge of the corresponding service to be provided:
(a) Our minimum hourly rate for using any service is a minimum fee of 2 hours (£95). If a job is to take longer than originally planned, the same hourly rates are to be applied – £55 for two gardeners, for the first hour and £42 thereafter. If the job takes less time to complete than originally estimated, you will be charged according to the time taken to complete the job (subject to our minimum two-hour charge of £95).
(b) Please, be aware that up to 3 bags (180 Ltr) garden waste is included in the price and will be taken away for free. Every additional bag is upon £3 (60 Ltr) extra charge and £4.50 if our operatives use 90 Ltr bags.
Extra rubbish, not accumulated during the service, may be taken by our operatives upon additional charge if our client agrees. However, if you do not want us to take away and dispose of the rubbish, the price for bagging up the green waste in our bags is £1 extra charge per bag. Extra green waste bagged up in bags provided by you but disposed of by our gardeners is charged £2 per bag.
(c) Jet wash is charged at a minimum call-out charge of £50.00, which covers up to20 sq.m. area. A charge of £2.50 per sq.m. will apply if the area is bigger than 20sq.m.
(d) Our prices for landscaping are based on information gathered after viewing or pictures provided by you of the area you would like to be landscaped. Price is specific for each project depending on its special requirements. A deposit is required to be transferred or paid in cash at least 5 days prior to the job. The deposit will be determined on the day of the booking, depending on the project. If you decide to cancel the landscaping service more than 4 days before the booked date, the deposit is refundable. If cancellation is made less than 4 days before the start date of the project, the deposit is kept by Green Swift Gardeners. However, if all materials for the project have been bought, the deposit will be held as compensation regardless of the day of cancellation or we will demand you to pay for the materials we had already purchased.
4. Services we will not be able to perform/undertake:
4.1. We do not supply and deliver flowers or plants for planting. Clients must choose and purchase any flowers they wish to be planted in their garden and to be delivered to their address prior to the job.
4.2. We do not create flower design projects. We can do the labour only if our clients have a clear idea or an already created design for our team to follow when arriving to perform flower planting service.
4.3. We do not perform a service for a garden which has Japanese knotweed. It is the customer’s responsibility to make us aware upon booking if there are such plants, if not, we reserve the right to cancel the service and to charge a cancellation fee of £20. If we decide to undertake the work even if there is Japanese Knotweed, we shall not be responsible for any further damage/overgrowth caused by the plant.
5. Re-schedule and Cancellation of Appointments:
5.1 Green Swift Gardeners reserves the right to charge a rescheduling fee or cancellation fee of £15 in case you decide to change the appointment on short notice (less than 24 hours prior to the job).
5.2 In the case that you decide to cancel the appointment upon arrival of our gardeners, we reserve the right to charge you a cancellation fee of £20. This cancellation fee will only be applicable and charged for travelling expenses and has to be paid on the same day.
5.3. We reserve the right to stop the work or reschedule the booking due to bad weather conditions which are not allowing us to perform the required service.
5.4. Green Swift Gardeners reserves the right to refuse, cease or stop the service process at any time if our staff are abused or threatened in any way.
6. Services:
6.1 We require access to an outside water tab and adequate lighting in order to be able to provide professional and quality service.
6.2 In instances where the health or wellbeing of our teams is threatened, due to hazardous environment, Green Swift Gardeners reserves the right to cancel the appointment, and will not be liable for any charges/fees which the customer may accrue from third parties in the case of a cancellation of the service.
6.3 We require that you (or a representative) are present at the end of the Service in order to inspect it and sign off the work as completed to your satisfaction. In the event that you are not present, we will accept that you have no complaints about the work.
6.4 We reserve the right to sub-contract any or all of the Services.

Please note: Green Swift Gardeners aim to deal with any issues with the service provided as soon as possible. Therefore any complaint filed later than 5 working days (from the date the service provided) will NOT be dealt with.
